Florida Was The End For Romney
Let’s face it, Florida was make or break for Mitt Romney. I knew it was over when he lost there. I was actually surprised how many held on through Super Tuesday.
Now I’m struggling with who to support from this point forward. Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama and John McCain don’t necessarily match my interests. I’m registered Independent, but I typically support the candidate that reminds me the most of Reagan.
Burnt Out On Travel
As with most people, December was far too busy for me this year. (It sure seems to me that life for the average person continues to get more hectic each generation. I don’t want to imagine what a day will be like 20 years from now.) Anyhoo, amidst all the craziness of the holiday season (shopping, decorating, family events, etc) I made my way to LA, Las Vegas and Atlanta. Three separate trips before the holidays.
I actually enjoy travel, especially when an internet marketing conference is involved. Getting out of Utah in the winter ain’t half bad either, but I’m calling it quits until next year.
Picky B*stards
So this blog was just recently revamped and it’s already getting mocked. I guess none of my friends or co-workers had mothers like mine that taught manners ;-). Light blue is not a girly color! btw…I’m a UNC fan, so that justifies it.
Yes, the logo (or lack there of) sucks. My excuse is that my laptop recently died and I haven’t got all of my design software setup again.
You’re not getting a Christmas card from me this year
So yeah, Christmas cards are a pain. I actually enjoy getting them, but printing them out, stuffing envelopes and scrounging up enough stamps just isn’t my thing. So this year we put together a blog post on our family website with some up-to-date info, pictures and our ElfYourself video. It’s way more interactive and people can’t throw it away the day after Christmas!
Vegas is Overrated
Every time I go to Las Vegas I’m reminded why it took me so long to make my way back. It’s normally exciting the first day, especially when walking the strip. But it gets old fast.
Some trip highlights:
- Each taxi cab driver enlightened my mind with a new dirty joke
- One of the more “well spoken” cab drivers ripped on the hotel I stayed in
- I got sick from eating too much at the Wynn Casino buffet. At least I didn’t puke like one of my co-workers, Bryan Phelps
I flew out there this past week for a conference, Webmaster World (PubCon). Hopefully I don’t have to go back until the next PubCon.
